Glorious View of How We'd Like Angels To Be
Even I resisted this plan for many years. Information technology seemed too syrupy, goofy, lovey-dovey for my cocky-important moods and points of views. And I had this opinion for quite a long fourth dimension. I never bothered to watch ane unmarried program until last month. I think I know why.
I wasn't ready.
Now I'm ready. And what I've witnessed during these lovely hours has helped me through the near difficult fourth dimension in my life.

I forgive those who cannot run into past the reality that as much as this program presents us with a view of God and Angels...that nosotros all still don't know everything. What we must rely on is faith and hope to give us the strength to become on with out lives when tragedy or insurmountable difficulties strike us downward.
The angelic combination of actors, Roma Downey, John Dye and the legendary Della Reese requite a completeness, perhaps whole roundness to these inspiring hours. Each of them brings a special and unique warmth to their roles. The improver of Valerie Bertinelli was very welcome and has brought a wonderful character of innocence and comic relief (for the sake of a better word) at the same time.
I am very thankful for this series and for the actors, directors, producers, writers and crew who have dedicated their fourth dimension to bringing this to the states.
If y'all've gotten this far in my review and yous're nevertheless not convinced...I beg y'all requite it a risk. And I pray your center will open to the possibility of miracles in all of our lives.

Excellent serial
Roma Downey, John Dye, and Della Reese star in the all-time show on television today. I especially similar Roma Downey and John Dye. This was a bulletin oriented series that deals with a different subject with each different episode they make. Seeing who will be guest starring is always a thrill like seeing Randy Travis, Neb Cosby, and others who have been gone from TV for awhile and those who are different Idiot box shows.
I have so many favorite episodes that I take like 'Til We Run across Once more' but my favorite episode is the 100th episode with guest stars Wynona and Celine Dion. I wish I could accept seen more than of Celine Dion and Wynona in futurity episodes because they were fantastic.
"Touched By An Angel" is a testify that should never have gone off the air because it was a prove that non merely touches everyone watching it but the guest stars who have acted on it. It is every bit if this show has a special gift for touching and uplifting people that are surrounded past the show.
My favorite character was the 'Angel Of Death' Andrew, played past John Dye, because he but doesn't take the dying away; he makes sure the dying empathize why they are going to heaven. My all time favorite Television set show on Goggle box always
This was, in my opinion, the best show that was ever on tv set. It was a touching, heart warming show that always left you feeling proficient after watching information technology. For me, this prove completely changed my life. Before watching this prove I never thought much about God and Christianity but after only seeing one episode of Touched past an Affections I was non only in love with the evidence but also started thinking virtually God which resulted in me believing in God and having a relationship with God. I loved Monica, Tess, and Andrew merely I take to admit I didn't much care for Gloria who joined in the belatedly seasons. My favorite grapheme, all the same, was Andrew who was the angel of death. I liked him the all-time because he was so caring, compassionate, and gentle that it took the fright right out of expiry. I will admit the show can be kind of corny at times just it has a great message and will never cease to warm your heart.

I don't believe in Angel or God But...
...I have to acknowledge, every time I accidentally plow into this bear witness (re: I never intentionally seek information technology out, but ever run across it while aqueduct surfing) I always leave it on. At present, mind you, I have very little faith in the beingness of God or, God foreclose (natch), angels, I can't help but experience a little, well..."touched" at the end of every episode. I've seen about a one-half dozen episode in all the years it's been on, and it is a worthwhile bear witness. You would have to exist completely fanatical about the NON-existence of God and angels to hate this show, since it doesn't offend, but merely tries to offer adept thoughts.

Emotionally Charged
Touched by an Affections is a great prove. Some of the episodes are not what I would want my little brother to see, because they are almost sexual problems and situations that he doesn't need to hear about notwithstanding, simply on the whole I love it, love it, honey information technology.
The three angels are totally terrific. Tess is hilarious, Monica is lovely, and Andrew is just the sweetest, kindest, gentlest, nigh lovable Affections of Death yous'd ever desire to meet. Ample supply of Hollywood's rarest commodity - Hope
Like a lot of viewers, I was initially put off by the positioning of the testify, and avoided it. Then, aqueduct surfing ane day I caught a fragment of 1 of the mid-series episodes, and was hooked. A friend had the whole series on DVD and I watched it beginning to end. Highly Recommended Family Viewing
While the show has a certain caste of sense of humor from episode to episode, the producers made the prove meaningful to the issues of today's world, with each episode addressing a different and difficult topic in life'due south journeying - ranging from gang issues to drugs to cancer to war to racism, with all giving proof in the cease that God's intervention and love is always at hand for those who inquire for it. A Great Way To Cheer Up
Why is sappy yet hopeful a bad thing? At that place's absolutely nothing wrong with this bear witness. Its sugariness, it offers hope, and its three principal characters are perfectly loveable.
Monica, Andrew, and Tess are only amazing. While the addition of Gloria in the terminal two seasons wasn't my favourite, the first vii featuring the original trio are just... beautifully washed. Each player is perfect for their role and has a perfect quirk to add to the show. The characters and actors play off one another well, too.
Overall, don't let the cynical reviews fool you. This is a wonderful show.

Touched by an angel saved me
Touched by an Affections saved my life particularly the episode which had song testify to love (psalm 151). I take bad lungs that gave me a brain injury ruined my nursing career (I was a registered cancer nurse). It gave me promise to undertake my masters of pedagogy (primary specialization). If I accept one wish it would to meet Roma and Della who inspired me. Sadly John has gone, but I volition join him and God subsequently equally we all will. Cute,Touching, and Honest-My Second Favorite Show Of All Time
I'll be brusque and sweetness. "Touched Past An Angel" is a beautifully written, wonderfully acted, and fascinating to lookout man show. There are no "bad" episodes. The evidence received a very successful and very deserved nine twelvemonth run.
I take fabricated errors in judging in the past about the quality of various shows, just of this I am certain. "Touched Past An Angel" is my 2nd favorite bear witness of all time. What a great show!
Touched by an Angel still ranks as one of my very favorite shows. Sure, it was a little cheesy and syrupy at times, but you knew that going in, and yous watched it for the message it delivered.
But I can sum up the touch it had on me, and could have on you, in i sentence:

Suburban christians

a very nice show
I call up TOUCHED By AN ANGEL is best described equally a like-it-or-hate-it show. Some would be turned away by the bulletin-heavy show, while others would like information technology for its likeable characters and family unit-friendly stories. I've never watched it on a weekly basis, but I accept seen a good bargain of episodes, and I bask it. I'yard non a very religious person, but I can view it every bit a pleasant show with a lot of heart, good acting, and good storytelling. Well-acted, but thematically boring
This is one of those series that had a lot going for it - the cast was pretty solid all around (Roma Downey had the most alluring presence, and Mandy Patinkin portrayed Satan in a surprisingly different low-cal), and some of the ideas had potential to expand beyond the typical "If yous trust in God, or enquire for forgiveness, God volition make everything OK in a matter of seconds" theme. But sadly, that never happened.
The series became dramatically repetitive, sappy, and frustrating as its "messages" of hope and organized religion were always presented using the same formula: a character goes through hard times, and miraculously comes out of it unscathed when glowing lights all of a sudden appear above the master characters, and the "angels" brainstorm spitting out the same words, time and time again. For me, it just didn't piece of work at all.
I won't get so far to call this show "horrible." As I said before, the actors were pretty strong, and information technology occasionally did tread some creative territory, just in the end, information technology just felt WAY too "Authentication Channel" for me.

"Death Came On Friday, Life On Lord's day, But There Was A Long Very Hard Day In Between"

The title of my review reflects a pivotal scene in the series finale of Touched By An Affections. Monica has served nine years as an affections instance worker. Being evaluated for promotion to supervisor, she's given her toughest assignment in a small town where earlier Easter most children had died in a school explosion. I suspect that people who enjoy this prove enjoy information technology immensely - they notice information technology 'moving' and 'highly emotional'. Its bad enough having to watch TV evangelists for 5 milliseconds while I flip channels , and now nosotros take tv serials with religious themes. If you lot think TBN is the all-time thing to happen to Boob tube or if you even so believe that "god" made the universe and then this bear witness is for you. Preachy religious rubbish
All it is is preachy religious rubbish intended to go people to believe in a Christian god. I watched an episode with a footling daughter preyed upon by a pedophile on the internet. The angels rushed to get her parents to save her (which they did) and and so lengthy spiels about god loving everyone and having angels everywhere watching out for everyone ensued. Except nosotros all know kids are raped and preyed upon daily without any angel or (supposedly) all powerful god intervention. This was utter tripe. Imagine existence the parent of a child murdered by a pedophile and watching this thing that suggest your kid wasn't worthy of being saved when a god could accept (co-ordinate to this). Peachy Evidence
I used to scout this show every calendar week with my mom and loved it and so. It only touches the eye in many ways and almost every episode tugs the strings a little stronger. I just started watching it again due to the sad death of John Dye. I always loved Andrew the best and it'southward a shame that John's death has acquired me to autumn in love with this testify and Andrew all over over again. Information technology is so deplorable that John is no longer with u.s.a.. I promise he knows how much people loved him and his character, how much I do. I like the other angels too (execpt for Gloria) and each of them bring a certain joy to watch nearly them. I hope 1 day they will release the rest of the bear witness on DVD. Though I don't remember they will I merely hope they practice.

Some heavenly comfort
In the tradition of Highway To Heaven the Creator/Deity has a trio of angels sent down to earth to give a little comfort and cheer to folks down on their luck. I guess with the death of Michael Landon somebody decided to take upwards the slack and create a testify along the aforementioned lines which ran for 8 years.
Using phrases like young and former seem meaningless when y'all're talking about eternity, simply in relative terms old and wise angel Della Reese serves as friend and mentor to Roma Downey a fairly new angel on the job. A touching, heartfelt and emotional Telly show!
Touched by an Affections is a touching, heartfelt and emotional TV show, featuring three angels, Monica (Roma Downey), Tess (Della Reese) and Andrew (John Dye) who were sent past God to World to assist troubled people get through their trials and adversities and remind them that God loves them and will guide them through the hard times.
This show actually tugs at your heartstrings as each episode focuses securely on the people's problems - from family issues to displaced dreams, and from life and death ordeals to friendship tests. Love, detest, anger and forgiveness are elements that are elaborately portrayed in the show and the angels' mission in bringing hope, agreement, faith and God'southward love to these troubled people will give you experience-skilful moments.
Downey gave a lovely portrayal as the sweet and gentle Monica, a caseworker angel out to assist each troubled person or persons with getting through hard times, while Della Reese portrays her gruff nonetheless good-hearted and humorous supervisor Tess. John Dye brings a lilliputian fleck of remainder and grim in his character as opposed to Downey and Reese, portraying Andrew the Angel of Death.
The episodes ranges from sweet and light-hearted to downright dramatic and sad. In that location's also a handful of episodes which pits the angels against the Devil in epic good vs. evil stories. A pure CBS classic!
"TOUCHED BY AN Affections," in my opinion, is a pure CBS classic! I haven't seen every episode, only I nonetheless enjoyed it. However, I recall it was ever touching when a mishap occurred. I always felt deeply moved. Information technology's hard to say which episode was my favorite. Information technology would probably have to exist the i where Michael Jeter invitee-stars. You'll have to have seen information technology if yous want to know why. In add-on, if yous ask me, the theme song was great. This is because Della Reese can really sing. Everyone always gave a good performance, the production blueprint was spectacular, the costumes were well-designed, and the writing was always very strong. In decision, I hope they bring information technology back on the air for fans of the show to see.

Good, but how much longer can it last?
I used to spotter this series with my family unit back in its early seasons and enjoyed it a lot. But every bit fourth dimension went on we drifted abroad from it because it was basically recycling the same one-time plot devices over and over again. Angels come up to town. Great show!!!!
This was a great prove. I have known of several people that have changed some of their bad means and take re-joined the Church building. It shouldn't take a Television receiver show to turn people around but if that is what it takes then it is good. Some of the shows story lines were less desirable, but the final bulletin always came through loud and clear. God loves us all. It always made me feel good. Sorry it had to go off the air, just at least we can notwithstanding savor the story and the great message it brought.
